3-way Fire Brigade Inlet (also called a Pumping In Breech) allows Fire Tenders (Pumpers) to pump in water into the dry riser/wet riser/sprinkler system piping using external water sources such as hydrants. Therefore, it ensures a quick and reliable water supply during emergencies. A 3-way fire brigade inlet is fitted with the required number of standard male instantaneous inlets to feed the riser pipe depending upon size.
VariEX Fire Brigade Inlet (Pumping in Breech), having a cast iron body with 3 Nos, 63 mm size SS male instantaneous inlets (with NRV) and 80 mm size flanged outlet, suitable for connection to dry riser piping. Additionally, the inlet includes a drain valve to remove water after operation, keeping the system ready for the next use.

A Variex 3-way fire brigade inlet is used to connect the fire brigade’s external water supply to a building’s internal fire hydrant system during emergencies.
It is installed on the outer wall of a building, making it easily accessible for firefighters.
Variex fire brigade inlets are manufactured in accordance with IS: 5290-1992 and CE safety standards.
The fire brigade hose is connected to the inlet, the valve is opened to allow water flow and closed securely after use.
Routine inspection and functional testing should be carried out every six months to ensure reliable operation.
